Transforming an aging Vancouver Special into the jewel of the neighbourhood isn’t an easy feat, especially given the condition that this one started in. The team at Headland Construction completely gutted the entire building inside and out before rebuilding this beautiful home from the ground up.
The floor plan was opened up to give the sense of space and volume. The upper floor still retains three bedrooms, but combining all of the common spaces and omitting hallways makes this home feel much larger than the original layout. The home is now heated with radiant, in-floor heating below the beautiful oak hardwood flooring. The expansive quartz counter tops and soft grey custom mill work pair perfectly with all of the finishing details. The exterior of the house had a complete make-over as well. Removing the old, painted stucco exterior enabled the Headland team to add real curb appeal. Custom woodwork, cedar shingles and lovely design details punctuate this now charming home.
